Nampala
. Nampala Mine
The Nampala asset is an open-pit mine that uses conventional surface mining techniques and process known as the Carbon‐In‐Leach (CIL) plus gravity, to recover gold.
The Nampala Gold Mine is located in the Republic of Mali, approximately 250km southeast (335km by road) of the capital of Bamako, 45km northwest of the Syama Mine (operated by Resolute Mining Limited) and 91km southwest of the Morila mine (operated by Firefinch Limited). The mine is in the Sikasso administrative region.
The property has a total surface area of c. 280km2 and consists of two parts: the Nampala exploitation permit covering 16km2 (including the Nampala mine), and five exploration permits, covering c. 264km2. Three of Robex’s permits are situated in southern Mali (Mininko, Kamasso and Gladié in aggregate c. 200km2), while the other two are located in the western part of the country (Sanoula and Diangounté, c. 32km2 each).

. Mine Overview
Since the mine reached commercial production in January 2017, Nampala produced approximately 230koz of gold while the resources were doubled thanks to the exploration programs. Production was quickly increased to 5,800tpd of ore by the beginning of July the same year with peak production at 8047tpd in June 2022.
The Property is located in southern Mali within the Leo-Man Shield of the West African Craton. At a regional scale, the Property is hosted within the Birimian Supergroup of the Baoulé-Mossi Domain.
The Nampala Mine is excavated using a conventional truck and shovel operation. The widest equipment used by the contractors is a Caterpillar 773B haul truck matched with a 385 hydraulic excavator. The ore and waste are composed mostly of saprolite located in the oxidized horizon. Grade control is undertaken using trenching.
The current operation is mainly in oxides requiring limited blasting only in the transition zone. The LoM is based on providing a minimal constant feed equivalent to 5,800 tpd of ore to the mill.
The plant is a conventional design and utilises a gravity concentrator followed by the Carbon-In-Leach gold recovery. The processing plant is in operation with a feed composed of oxide and transition material (saprolite and a mix of saprolite and fesh).
The Nampala process plant was constructed by WACOM/Soutex under an EPC contract between 2013 and 2016. Total capital costs for the construction of the mine was c. EUR 80 million.
